Dahlia Seeds - Pink Mix

Did you know dahlias grown from seed produce a brand new variety? Experience the magic of breeding your own Dahlias by growing them from seed. They will not be true to type but may have some characteristics of the mother plant and thats the fun of it. 

Experiment with a  selection of open pollinated seeds from our Dahlia Patch. The seed parents are the beautiful pink cut flower varieties pictured including more however they are open pollinated in the field with other coloured varieties to so you never know what babies they will produce. Dahlia seeds can take a while to germinate. Some will take a few days and others upto a few weeks so patience is key. 

Approx 10 seeds per pack. 

I prefer to sow in seed trays 5mm deep and start indoors in spring and early summer. Plant out when seedlings have 2-3 sets of true leaves and a good root system. They will require a sunny position to grow.
